Beginning with a lovely afternoon tour of The Upstairs Rooms of Hearst Castle (Leo was probably wondering where exactly around the Neptune Pool he would pop the question to Michelle when it concluded) followed by a surprise wedding proposal just can’t be beat. Even the security guards were congratulating the happy couple. They are truly adorable together, as you can see, and have dated since high school!!! Congratulations Leo and Michelle! Your love is so contagious – I drove home giddy!
The Peninsula at Hearst State Beach, a.k.a. San Simeon Cove
Today I photographed 3 generations of a beautiful family at The Hearst State Beach while on their vacation. I love family reunion photo shoots – seeing grandparents play with grandkids, and parents struggling to corral children is food for my soul.
Thinking ahead, I brought my running shoes and a change of clothes, and hit the sand at 6pm after the shoot. I was in awe of all the natural beauty of the cove and enjoyed my iPhone panoramic option. I highly recommend the trail that heads up and around the peninsula at the end of the cove.
Family Reunion at Hearst State Beach
Our first photo shoot attempt we encountered blustering winds with sideways blowing rain the day prior, so today seemed like a dream! What a fabulously fun hour, walking, running, climbing, dodging the waters edge. I just love seeing the kids in action and the parents and grandparents enjoying their energy. Looking at these photos injects a little bit of their happiness into me right off the screen, and that makes me happy! Thank you for sharing your time with me.
