Chris probably didn’t retain much “tour information” from their Hearst Castle Cottages and Kitchen Tour, since he had a box in his pocket and was anxiously awaiting the perfect moment to propose marriage! As the tour ended, he led his bride-to-be Ani to a secluded corner overlooking the rolling hills and majestic ocean. (I absolutely love being a secret agent – following couples until the big moment!) They are both architect students so being surrounded by Julia Morgan‘s designs – from Hearst’s guest houses, pools, and most of the grounds, was perfectly apropos. Ani was so surprised she cried with joy…I almost started too.
What a gorgeous day for a destination garden wedding in Cambria!! Denise and Tom had a lovely room at Cambria Pines Lodge, where the wedding took place as well, with a nice big window (great light for a wedding photographer) and were so relaxed and fun-spirited as they got ready together. With an adorable, engaging family and wonderful life-long friends it was a beautiful event. The Cambria Pines Lodge has such amazing garden area for walking and photo ops that it made my day really easy!
Escaping from the 112 degree heat of Phoenix, Arizona was the Trujillo family’s main goal!!! And what a great photo shoot we had on the beach in Cambria, with partly cloudy skies, it was PERFECT!!!! Now every time they look at their photos hopefully they can remember the cool salt air as they sit in their air conditioned home in Arizona and think about visiting again soon! Seriously though, what a BEAUTIFUL family!!! Again, feeling grateful for such a lovely life I have – photographing love…. mmmmm…. happy 🙂
