Surprise Proposal in Cambria

As a photographer, few moments are as thrilling as capturing a surprise proposal in Cambria! Recently, I had the honor of documenting an awesome engagement in our picturesque coastal town known for its rugged cliffs, ocean views and pine trees.

A thoughtful groom-to-be contacted me weeks in advance, planning his proposal. My mission would be to remain unseen and capture the moment from afar using my telephoto lens. Positioned discreetly near Moonstone Beach, I waited as he led his unsuspecting girlfriend to the perfect spot.

As he dropped to one knee, her reaction was absolute joy—tears and laughter too. Through my lens, capturing their unforgettable moment in time, I always feel so privileged to watch love and fun between two souls. Then we spent time afterwards for portraits on the beach!

Surprise Proposal in Carmel

Surprise Proposal in Carmel on 17 Mile Drive!!!! O M G I had so much FUN hiding-out around the back side of China Rock, to capture Jeff’s proposal to Amanda on the cliffs of such an epic road and golf course!

Earlier in the month Jeff texted me a “pin” on Google Maps where he would propose, and I arrived early to climb around the area for the best hiding spot. Everything about the day, from the Aston Martin car his grandfather gave him, to the fun-spirited demeanor of them both was perfect! Their smiles and genuine love for each other was infectious and even my face hurt from smiling so much!

I get butterflies waiting, and overflow with joy and excitement, so honored to witness such a special, intimate moment.

Surprise proposal at Sculpterra Winery

James’ surprise proposal at Scupterra Winery to Cary was amazing under a beautiful oak tree! I had been emailing James for months as he planned when and where he would propose. After deciding on Sculpterra, he reserved a table for wine-tasting, enjoyed lunch at the great food truck + acoustic live music. It was a a perfect day + a perfect proposal and I feel honored to be the engagement photographer for it.

James took Cary on a short walk from the wine-tasting table over to the majestic oak tree, and got down on one knee to propose. I was beaming! His surprise proposal at Sculpterra Winery was amazing and so many winery guests cheered and clapped!

Capturing surprise proposals + engagement photos fulfills my soul.
