Rainy Day Surprise Proposal Photography in Big Sur

Doug was singing in the rain after his surprise proposal to Samantha up in Big Sur this winter! And her pink rain boots were so awesome! They were on vacation driving from SF to LA and arranged with me to meet at Sand Dollar Beach across from Plasket Creek Campgrounds in Big Sur. Then the weather decided to up it’s game! Surprise proposal photography will keep you on your toes!

We were not afraid.

I am still so impressed that they departed Carmel at 7:30am to make our 9am proposal time! I was walking the grassy fields adjacent the parking lot with my clear umbrella at 8:55am, looking like a tourist, and sure enough, right at 9am they strolled by both snuggling underneath a big navy and white umbrella.

Samantha’s pure joy and excitement with Doug’s surprise proposal will make anyone elated for them, and I feel so happy for their connection. Their engagement shoot and fun photos after in the intermittent rain were adorable.

AJ + Raphael Married on the Cliffs {Small Beach Town Wedding}

It warms my heart so much to have photographed this lovely gay wedding. Their family and friends were sooooo affectionate towards each other before, during and after the event, The exchange of vows held deeper meaning and funnier anecdotes than most. And the ethereal afternoon fog made me feel warmer and fuzzier than normal. Central Coast weather is always so cozy and stunning, especially on days like these. I loved photographing this LGBT wedding!

My cheeks hurt from smiling the whole time. Such a beautiful and memorable intimate destination wedding, with incomparable surroundings, great company, and endless amounts of love. So refreshing and heartwarming to see the amount of love shared between these two. Thank you AJ and Raphael for hiring me!

{ Emily + Sarah } Wedding at Pismo Beach, Reception at Sea Venture Inn

Sarah and Emily’s beautiful and floral same sex wedding in Pismo Beach California, was so fun and full of love. They are awesome, friendly, adventurous people with an affinity for hiking, exploring and vacationing in Hawaii 🙂 We immediately hit it off at our first meeting over coffee, and I feel so blessed to have received this job. The bridesmaids stunned in blue dresses and both ladies looked so gorgeous in their wedding gowns, under the white floral arc looking over the beach/ocean. Their love is undeniable and portrayed so beautifully through these pictures. I am so happy for them and wish them nothing but the best in their marriage and life together. So thankful to have been part of their Pismo Beach Wedding!
