Our family vacation took us to Italy this summer! It was amazing, we went from north to south, visiting: Venice, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terra, four different hill-top towns in Umbria and Tuscany, and Rome. The simple lifestyle was refreshing – there weren’t as many types of milk or vegetables, but rather one size of pizza country-wide, 2 types of milk – whole or 1%, mainly five vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, onions, tomato and red pepper) and very little beer. Wine, arugula, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, olives abounded and fresh white crusty bread. I could live here…
