{ Surprise Proposal } Engagement Photos in Cambria

Gene’s surprise proposal to Kelley in Cambria, CA on the cliff of the Pacific Ocean was the ultimate in natural light, and a beautiful setting!  We texted to coordinate a meeting place across from The Sea Chest restaurant, and with the late rain this year, there were plenty of yellow wildflowers all along the cliff.

This is my absolute favorite photographer “job” I do…  playing a secret agent and capturing the true JOY and EXCITEMENT of a couple intimately embracing the decision to DO life together!  The happiness of the surprise and the joy Kelley exuded was contagious and I dwelled in my own delight behind the camera.

After Gene’s proposal we walked around and took Engagement Photos, because who doesn’t want some portraits on Moonstone Beach!!!!  Lovely to use for announcements or Save The Date cards, and it’s such always wonderful time.

Cambria Wedding at Robin’s in Cambria

Cambria Wedding Photographer at Robin's Restaurant

Sweet, Simple, SO FUN!  Jesse + Yesenia’s intimate Cambria Wedding was SO LOVELY and SO FUN!  The flourishing garden setting at Robin’s Restaurant is perfect for a Cambria Wedding… it had SO MANY BEAUTIFUL backdrops.  Joe Barbera as DJ was, as always, lovely and spirited and so on point playing oldies and current songs that tied together the beautiful vibe of the evening.  Rick Comstock as Officiant, was deeply profound in a lovely, light-hearted way.  Friends and family cried, hugged and laughed deeply and it was SO EASY to capture their love and acceptance for everyone –  it was impossible not to capture the wonderful sense of genuine connection.

Modern, Professional Head Shots, Outdoors

Outdoor Professional Head Shots

First impressions mean a lot to ALL humans, and modern, professional head shots give a great first impression.  Instinctively, our brains judge if we trust this person, and if they aid in our survival of the fittest.

Viewing a webpage with professional head shots and other lifestyle photography shows thoughtfulness.  It shows you a good work-life balance, and are open to sharing yourself.  Generally speaking, I enjoy working with people like this.  I don’t want to hire a work-a-holic who has no sense of the facets of life.  I’d like to have a little fun while working hard,  so I want to see someone who displays creativity, and who seems aware of time, money, pets, outfits (haha) and design.  Above all, it conveys your best self.

Outdoor, professional head shots convey personality, intelligence and warmth.  They show a hard working, professional person who is also very human and able to connect with clients.  I do indoor studio head shots, and my friend Shea is a head shot master who I’m inspired by, however I prefer the natural light and street side settings of town for backdrops.  And you can see why with Jessica’s modern portraits!  She’s adorable and it shows.  She’s also showing her clients “This is the town I live and work in!”

Feel Inspired…

Don’t fear a photo shoot, it’s ALWAYS a good time to update your professional head shots and social media photos.  Ecommerce photography will help your website stand-out from the herd, and most importantly, you’ll have fun doing it!  We will laugh, walk and talk, and bring out the best in you!
