The rain stopped just in time for Melody + Charlotte’s beachfront ceremony along a gorgeous cove in Montana de Oro State Park! This lovely, intimate gay wedding in Los Osos, California, was so sweet and simple. Friends and family were shoulder to shoulder gathered under a 10′ x 10′ white pop up tent, since rain was the forecast. Miraculously it stopped at the ceremony’s start time, and Melody, Charlotte and their two children walked across the width of the beach dry!
Their minister was a long time friend who added such warmth and connection to the day. Her stories, along with Melody + Charlotte’s original wedding vows made everyone shed tears and laugh deeply. It was all so beautiful. I love intimate gay weddings because you feel the deep connection and love and respect for everyone!
The reception was at the lovely Buona Tavola in San Luis Opispo where they took over the back patio area under the twinkling lights.
I’m so grateful to have met these two amazing women, with whom I hope to continue a friendship with! Melody writes and shares ideas for gay wedding planing on her blog www.centralcoastgayweddings.com so check it out!
Congratulations Josh and Matt! I am so glad the rain subsided and the weather was able to clear up for your special ceremony (how lucky?!). This destination wedding on Avila Beach in Central California had a lovely color palate of white, sand and turquoise accents. It perfectly matched the fun-loving feeling of their ceremony and reception. Avila Beach made a wonderful backdrop to their ceremony! This day was a wonderful representation of their relationship, filled with love and light. Avila Beach wedding and Lighthouse Suites reception were a fantastic combination – close in proximity and very beautiful. I am so thrilled I was able to partake in this gay wedding, thank you Josh and Matt for allowing me to be apart of your special day!
I don’t know how I get so lucky to spend my days photographing such amazing human beings. For a few cherished seconds at this event, it was like I went outside my body and actually watched myself standing there trying to capture all the love that radiated the church, beamed from happy friends and family, hovered in the air. It was such a joy to witness and capture the sweet summer love permeating the 150 guests as these two lovely ladies got married at the Unitarian Universalist Church in San Luis Obispo. This amazing day, celebrating true love between two completely beautiful women, rippled out into the world and definitely added some good vibrations!
