The sweeping views and Lauren’s simple wild flower bridal bouquet was so delightful and amazing I could barely stand it – I was giddy with happiness. The sweetness between them and their families was a true pleasure to be immersed in for their wedding at Pacific Valley in Big Sur. They are both graduating with PhD’s from Cal Poly this year – congratulations!
The lack of stress at this event was delightful, so much so that they forgot the rings! And even with a late start, there was still no anxiety rising.
Not wanting to be idle, they went with the photography flow – taking photos while others ran back for the ring, and we made the most of every moment. Ceremony at the south end of Moonstone Beach Drive, on a wood landing off Santa Rosa Lot overlooking Moonstone Beach.
My goal: photograph the wedding ceremony, portraits and get extra shots having a good time all in 1 hour! Not possible you say… and I might have agreed before today! Fast, yet relaxed, and fun were lovebirds John and Kimberly – who’ve been together since before high school! They’ve known each other since they were 4 years old, and their families have celebrated every major life event together. This intimate, simple ceremony held on Moonstone Beach right out from Shamel Park, was so sweet, loving and fun – I felt like an old friend. I could easily feel their trust and comfort with each other, no pretenses or facades, just pure contentment. How fortunate to find your best friend so young and mesh so perfectly. What a joy!
